Welcome
The Norwich North Stars ice hockey team has been established since November 2006. We are a recreational ice hockey team and we have a range of players from novice to experienced.
Half way through 2008 and the Norwich North Stars are training hard and reaping the rewards. With our recent three match battle against the RAF Crusade the NNS came out on top winning 3 games to nothing. Our latest being our all time best 16-3 win. The team would like to thank the Eastern crusade for some great games and we hope to return to try and maintain our title next year.
In more recent news the Norwich North Stars have just come back from Sheffield after competing in the national recreational ice hockey tournament. Not only did the team come back with some great wins under our belt but we are now trophy winners!! Beating experienced teams such as Solihull Wolves, Medway Madness and Peterborough Phoenix. It was a two day tournament that saw the team come together on and off the ice!

Following the first NNS Team Meeting here are some details of some important changes / alterations to the general running and structure of the club.
Appointment of Committee:
Chairman – Mark Daniels
Treasurer – Tanya Daniels
Secretary / Media – Steven Flanagan and Joanne Bridge
Transportation – Liam Maguire
Sponsorship / Fundraising – Azlan Raj

Session Costs:
The price Structure is changing slightly, to encourage more people to train regularly and to boost club funds. Training cost will be £12 for two sessions paid on the Monday or £7.50 for a single session (Effective as of 16th June)
Please Note: this is not refundable. I.e if you pay £7.50 on the Monday for a single session and decide you do want to pay on the Thursday after all it will be a further £7.50.
Also, we are introducing a three strike rule with regards to session payment. If you miss three session payments you will not be allowed on the ice
Membership Fees / Registration:
Membership Fee – To help the club with purchasing bibs, pucks, goals etc. this will be £24 per year pro rata. This will be paid along with EIHA Fees and insurances September – September. The total to be paid on or before 1st September 2008 is £60 for every player this includes £35 registration fee and £1 towards club funds (Whether playing games or not) If this is not paid by this date you will not be allowed on the ice. This payment can be made in installments prior to this date, but need to be paid in full on this date.
This will be effect as of 01-09-2008
Transportation:
Liam Maguire will be working out costing for future games so that it is fair on everybody, Liam will go into further detail of what he has planned soon.
Until that time the cost will be a minimum of £15 a head, payed before you leave the rink.
Sponsorship and Fundraising:
Azlan Raj will be working towards finding sponsors and organizing fundraising activities for the whole team to raise awareness of the team and to draw in funds to assist with costs. He will also detail his plans soon. Please Note: as this will benefit all players, we hope everyone will participate in any future activities.
